Paul J. Smit & Associates is a firm that provides professional
services ranging from income tax planning and compliance services to financial accounting,
reporting and auditing, to information systems consulting (hardware, software and small
business networks). These services are offered to individuals, partnerships, small
businesses, and not-for-profit organizations.
Our professionals are members of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. These memberships and affiliations first
and foremost help to keep our firm accountable from a professional standards and
regulatory standpoint, as these organizations monitor CPA firms that are members.
Membership in the above organizations also serves to keep our firm up-to-date on
significant changes in accounting and tax issues that may affect our clients.
The firm was started by Paul J. Smit, who has over 10
years of experience in providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to a wide
variety of individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations. To learn more
